Scriptural Foundational Truths
Hosea 4:6
my
people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have
rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have
ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
Gen 1:26-31
26
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let
them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the
livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that
move along the ground."
27
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28
God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful
and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the
fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living
creature that moves on the ground."
29
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the
whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will
be yours for food. 30 And to
all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the
creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of
life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
31
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was
evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
2 Cor 10:3-6
3For though we live in the
world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4The weapons we fight with
are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine
power to demolish strongholds. 5We
demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against
the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ. 6And we
will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience
is complete.
This is SUSTAINABLE LIVING
Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of
God's glory and the exact representation of his being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word.
After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right
hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will
sustain you. I have made you and I
will carry you; I will sustain
you and I will rescue you.
Psalm 3:5
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD
sustains me.
Psalm 18:35
You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand
sustains me; you stoop down to
make me great.
Psalm 41:3
The LORD will sustain him on his
sickbed and restore him from his
bed of illness.
Psalm 51:12
Restore to me the joy of your
salvation and grant me a willing
spirit, to sustain me. (Salvation
refers to deliverance from an undesirable state or condition.)
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will
sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 119:116
Sustain me according to your promise,
and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.
Psalm 119:175
Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws
sustain me.
Psalm 147:6
The LORD sustains the humble but
casts the wicked to the ground.
Subdue
(Overcome, quieten, or bring under control.)
Isaiah 10:13
For he says: " 'By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my
wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of
nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I
subdued their kings.
Isaiah 45:1
"This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right
hand I take hold of to subdue
nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors
before him so that gates will not be shut:
Overcomers,
more than a
conqueror, to gain a surpassing victory
Revelation 3:21
To him who overcomes, I will give
the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down
with my Father on his throne.
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 17:14
They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will
overcome them because he is Lord
of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and
faithful followers."
Revelation 21:7
He who overcomes will inherit all
this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
Knowledge (In
the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil)
Which TREE are you eating from???
II Timothy 3:1-8
But mark this: There
will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of
themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to
their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving,
slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing
to do with them. They are the kind who worm their way into homes
and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down
with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,
always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men
oppose the truth men of depraved minds, who, as far as the
faith is concerned, are rejected.
Genesis 2:17
but you must not eat from
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of
it you will surely die."
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the
beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and
discipline.
Romans 1:28
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to
retain the
knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what
ought not to be done.
Ephesians 4:12-14
to prepare God's people for
works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we
all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of
God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness
of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by
the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by
the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming
Colossians 1:9
For this reason, since the day we heard
about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill
you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom
and understanding.
Colossians 1:10
And we pray this in order that you may
live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of
God
Colossians 2:3
in whom are hidden all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge
2 Peter 1:3
His divine power has given
us everything we need for life and godliness through
our knowledge
of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
1 Timothy 2:4
This is good, and pleases
God our Savior, who wants all men to be
SOZOED and to
come to a
knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
